Chinese police department using anti-drone guns

The Wuhan Police Department in China doesn’t want drones anywhere near the city’s soccer stadium and now has officers using anti-drone guns to stop the flying menaces.
According to Popular Science, the anti-drone guns jam trespassing drones and force them to land automatically. The jammers cost around $19,000 and are capable of jamming drone signals up to a kilometer away.
Similar devices are being used around the world to deal with the drone threat. In Iraq, coalition forces have used the Battelle Drone Defender to take down ISIS drones flown for surveillance and to launch grenade attacks.
Swiss security officials also added anti-drone guns to their arsenal, using the HP 47 Counter UAV Jammer at the World Economic Forum last January.
China has many other anti-drone options as well, including truck-mounted laser cannons like the Silent Hunter, which has the capability to shoot down targets up to 4 kilometers away and is powerful enough to penetrate lightly armored vehicles.
