CHICAGO, IL — At a tech store on the west side of Chicago, one man was forced into the fight of his life at his place of business because of one punk who was looking to make an easy dollar.

Not only did he not make that quick cash, the injury that resulted from the fight cost him more than his pride.

It cost him his freedom.

As WGN9 reports:

It happened shortly before 11 a.m. in the 200 block of North Kedzie on a CPS safe passage route.

The 17-year-old suspect was armed and attempted to rob a Metro PCS store. The owner confronted the suspect and gun fire was exchanged. The suspect was hit in the shoulder and taken to the hospital in good condition.

Police say the owner has a conceal and carry card. Police also say the suspect was out on bond after being arrested for an attempted robbery on November 28th.

I don’t know what this man thought was going to be so good at his local Metro PCS that he should risk his life and the lives of others to get it, but he was incorrect. He was lucky that only his shoulder was hit.
