Chaos in Midtown: Man Shot After at Least 8 Hit-and-Runs and an Attempted Carjacking

(AJC) – Police are working multiple (8 plus) hit and run accidents involving a Black Hummer. Units pulled behind the Hummer when it stopped. The driver, a white male, exited the Hummer and attempted to carjack a white Porsche at 16th and Spring. The driver of the attempted carjacking shot the perpetrator in the stomach just as officers tased the man. He was transported to the hospital ACB [alert, conscious and breathing].

No other injuries were reported after a wild morning in Midtown that involved at least eight hit-and-runs, an attempted carjacking and a shooting, Atlanta police spokesman Donald T. Hannah said.
