Browning hasn’t stopped rolling out models on its X-Bolt line, announcing another new addition in the form of the X-Bolt Pro.
The X-Bolt Pro features a stock that boasts a second generation design constructed using a full 360-degree carbon fiber wrap with a compressed foam core. Extremely lightweight, the stock offers textured gripping panels and a palm swell coated with a Cerakote Burnt Bronze finish for looks and a little protection against the elements.
The receiver utilizes corrosion-resistant stainless steel with the Burnt Bronze applied for a snazzy getup. Glass bedded into the stock for better accuracy, the receiver is drilled and tapped for the solid X-Lock scope mounts.
The X-Bolt Pro’s fluted barrel also sports a lightweight design that touts a proprietary lapping process which offers consistent accuracy, reduced fouling and easier cleaning. The advantage to Brownells’ bore lapping is that users are able to skip the time-consuming break-in process. The rifle serves up a threaded barrel, ready to accept the included muzzle brake or thread cap protector.
Topping off the looks, the long gun features a spiral fluted bolt and enlarged fluted bolt knob
