Bow Sights – My Five Best Picks

There is a good reason Spott Hogg Gear stretches the wallet. I will use the phrase “Machined well” many times throughout this article to describe the quality of the metal used. When I picked up this sight at he 2015 ATA show, the quality of the aluminum and the machining was detailed. As I tested Spott Hogg Bow Sights over the summer, I really loved the fiber optic quality, and their customer service was fantastic. The pin size was a bit too big, so they swapped out the pins for a smaller size no questions asked. The Spott Hogg Real Deal Bow Sight is a rugged sight and held up well to abuse of the West on my recent Elk hunting trip.

But what I wasn’t a huge fan of was how you must adjust your pins. Not the housing, but individual pins. It’s a bit complicated with the use of small screws and allen wrenches. I found it a bit frustrating when I had to put space in between each pin.
