Nebraska -(Ammoland.com)- Women looking for new adventures or a fun-filled weekend with friends and family can find what they’re looking for in Becoming an Outdoors-Woman activities in Nebraska.

Becoming an Outdoors-Woman, or BOW for short, teaches outdoor skills to women of all ages and experiences in a fun and welcoming environment. BOW activities are a great way for women to develop new outdoor skills while surrounded by like-minded in the beautiful setting of a Nebraska state park or recreation areas. Expert instructors provide one-on-one instruction to students of all levels.

Activities will take place across the state throughout the summer. Among the upcoming activities are the Fort Kearny Mini BOW retreat scheduled for May 29-31 at Fort Kearny State Recreation Area (SRA) near Kearney. This weekend retreat will allow participants to try camping, fishing, hiking, kayaking, Dutch oven cooking and archery.

On June 4, a canoeing workshop for beginners will be offered at Omaha’s Wehrspann Lake. This event will cover basic skills, safety and equipment. A Platte River canoe trip for experienced paddlers is scheduled for June 12 …read more
