Beretta’s new polymer framed striker fired pistol now includes the option of a going less groovy with the availability of a replacement frame.
The interchangeable frame swaps out from the factory original and no FFL is required as the chassis system is the controlled item. Available in black, olive, wolf gray and dark earth, the replacement frame can be changed out at the user level and includes three backstraps.
Introduced overseas a little while back, the APX was brought to the market in the states last year and has a lot of neat bells and whistles like some ambi controls and very aggressive slide serrations. It’s a duty-sized gun, weighing in at 35~ ounces loaded. It started shipping last April and includes a trio of subtle finger grooves on the front of the grip, which are deleted in the new follow-on frame kit.
MSRP is $50.
