Benghazi Heroes Holding Shadow Warriors Project Event in Minneapolis

On the night of Sept. 11, 2012, CIA Global Response Staff contractors John “Tig” Tiegen and Mark “Oz” Geist showed consummate heroism in their rescue of personnel at the besieged U.S. Embassy and CIA Annex in Benghazi, Libya.

Today, their heroism continues in creating and supporting Shadow Warriors Project, a one-of-a-kind non-profit foundation aiding private military security contractors and their families with medical and related expenses.

The 13 Hours in Benghazi – Shadow Warriors Project event will be your chance to meet, talk to, enjoy a photo op with, and even experience personal weapons instruction from Tiegen and Geist—the heroes themselves.

From the lips of the men who lived that deadly, chaotic night you will hear the unfiltered story of what happened in the streets of Benghazi. Tiegen, a former Marine Sergeant who served in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq, and Geist, a 12-year Marine Corps veteran specializing in Counter-Terrorism and Intelligence, vowed in writing their book to keep all politics out of it.
