OCEANPORT, NEW JERSEY — New Jersey won’t even issue a permit to carry to an Army officer tasked with anti-terror operations. That’s the most recent verdict in the appeals case for a lieutenant colonel who was denied a permit to carry because threats against his life due to his occupation did not seem justifiable enough cause to allow a permit to be issued.

This is just a recent taste of New Jersey insanity. The Picatinny Arsenal in Wharton, New Jersey, is home to several task force groups related to developing techniques, tactics, and procedures related to fighting ongoing terrorist operations across the world.

These men and women have to trust that nobody has reason to stop them because the State of New Jersey appears unwilling to allow them to protect themselves.

“None of these threats appear to specifically relate to this applicant — he is in no different position than any other person who is assigned to that facility,” Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J.
