Anti-gunners are desperate for a win. While they had momentum in the wake of Parkland, that has since slowed down and fizzled out. Same as it does after every other mass shooting. People get upset, think with their heart and not their heads, and want all sorts of things, then settle down and realize that none of that stuff will work.

But die-hard anti-gunners keep going and keep looking for momentum and take whatever wins they can get.

For example, here in Georgia, we had a runoff election yesterday to settle on nominees. One nominee, in particular, has some on the anti-gun side excited.

In a major win for gun control activists, Lucy McBath has won Georgia’s Democratic House primary for the 6th Congressional District in a close race against businessman Kevin Abel. Now, McBath will take on Republican Representative Karen Handel, elected in 2017, in November’s general election.

The gun reform activist came out on top Tuesday, collecting more than 36 percent of the vote in the four-way Democratic race. McBath, a two-time breast cancer survivor, has made gun control one of the key platforms of her campaign, following her child’s death after he was shot …Read the Rest
