Students involved in the national walk out Wednesday were mostly peaceful, but not in Antioch High School near Nashville, Tennessee, where students turned violent.

Here’s what they did

Students left school in an apparently protest for gun control at the high school, but videos posted on Facebook shows a group ripping down the American flag from a flagpole and stomping on it.

Police say that some students also jumped onto one of their patrol cars.

A spokesperson for Metro Nashville Schools told WZTV that no students were injured during the protest.

“Unfortunately, some students on our Antioch campus today chose to protest in ways that significantly disrupted school operations and threatened the safety and order for other students and staff within our school,” Michelle Michaud said.

“Swift action was taken by school security and [police] to address the situation,” she added. “We look forward to welcoming students back tomorrow for a great day of teaching and learning.”

The video also made its way onto Twitter.
