Ambush Of Chinese Food Delivery Driver Fails, Driver Shoots Teen In Leg

HOUSTON, TEXAS — Texas is an overall bad state to commit crimes against the public, since so many gun-loving Texans are exercising their right to carry a firearm.

It’s still apparently not enough of a deterrent for some, and they need to find out the hard way that a life of crime doesn’t come without risk.

A 17-year-old high school student shot by the delivery driver he allegedly tried to rob at gunpoint appeared in court, where prosecutors said he pretended to be a customer before he was shot.

Malcom Nwadike has been charged with aggravated robbery.

Nwadike made an order online, and specified that the driver not knock on the door, but instead call a phone number when he arrived. The driver did just that, and that’s when Nwadike came out of the dark to rob him. With his gun pointed at the driver, he demanded his wallet.

Prosecutors say that’s when the delivery driver, who has a concealed handgun license, drew his weapon from his holster on his right hip and started firing.

Shortly after, Nwadike allegedly called police to tell them he had been shot during a drive-by shooting.
