Alabama: Companion Constitutional/Permitless Carry Bill Introduced

This week, House Bill 414, sponsored by state Representative Isaac Whorton (R-38), was introduced as the companion bill to Senate Bill 24, the constitutional/permitless carry bill. Both AB 414 and SB 24 would eliminate the requirement to obtain a permit in order to lawfully carry. These bills recognize a law-abiding adult’s unconditional Right to Keep and Bear Arms for self-defense in the manner he or she chooses. Self-defense situations are difficult, if not impossible, to anticipate.
