Michigan-based MDFI brought out a tweaked example of Kel-Tec’s Charlie variant “sport utility” rifle that has been converted to .300 Blackout.
Trexico with MDFI freely admits in the above video from Practically Tactical that his piston polymer rifle is not a “combat” gun and isn’t built for repetitive D60 mag dumps, but it’s lightweight and ideal for use as a backcountry gun when hiking. The upgrades include a barrel conversion from Barrel Boss, new sights, an AGP side folder stock, Magpul AK Zhukov forearm (note: it fits with no mods!) and a Griffin Armament Rev9 can.
Maybe not for everyone, but it does have a certain panache, and is pretty quiet to boot.
