5.11 Tactical UCR IFAK – An Individual First-Aid Kit for Firearm Owners
Every shooter should carry a medical kit equipped to treat a gunshot wound until paramedics can arrive.
One range accessory that should be in every shooter’s range bag is a medical kit. I’m not talking a fully-stocked EMT medical bag, complete with SAM splint’s and the like, I’m speaking specifically about an individual first-aid kit to treat a gunshot wound until paramedics can arrive.
Accidents happen and a person can bleed out in minutes from a femoral artery bleed caused by a negligent discharge. No one wants to be left unprepared, especially when the clock may be ticking. Even the most simplistic kit can be an absolute lifesaver.
5.11 Tactical recently teamed up with North American Rescue to create the UCR System, also known as the Urban Casualty Response Individual First Aid Kit.
Contained in the 5.11 Tactical, quick-entry, MOLLE compatible zippered pouch is:
- Combat Application Tourniquet (CAT)
- Bear Claw Glove Kit
- 4-inch Pressure Dressing
- HyFin Chest Seal (x2)
- QuikClot Bleeding Control Dressing
The North American Rescue CAT is simple and easy to use.
