The first trailer has been released for the upcoming Michael Bay film “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.”

The film is based on the 2013 book “13 Hours” by Mitchell Zuckoff.

The true story details the attacks of Sept. 11, 2012, when Islamic militants killed U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens at the the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya.

After the attack, six members of a security team are tasked with defending the compound.

Slated for a Jan. 15, 2016, release “13 Hours” stars James Badge Dale, John Krasinski, Toby Stephens, Pablo Schreiber, Max Martini and David Denman.
