Those dedicated to stopping the bump stock ban aren’t going to roll over and just go away. They consider this an abridgment of their civil liberties, after all. I don’t disagree.

Because of that, though, they’re ready to fight. Right now, they’re hoping to enlist the help of the pro-gun Supreme Court. In particular, they want the Court to issue a stay that will prevent enforcement of the ban.

Gun rights advocates on Wednesday gave notice that they will seek a stay from the Supreme Court after US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit upheld lower court ruling on Monday that denied their request to lift the Trump administration’s bump stocks ban.

However, it’s best that no one gets their hopes up on this one. After all, these are the same folks who declined to issue a stay on the issue just a week earlier.

Last week, the Supreme Court denied an application for stay in a separate Michigan District Court case, Gun Owners of America v. Barr, challenging the bump stocks ban.
