Georgia Sheriff Allows Honor Defense Guns for Off-Duty, Backup
Deputies with the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia have been given the green light to use Honor Defense’s Honor Guard pistols as a backup or off-duty gun.

Based in Lawrenceville, Ga.—around 40 miles from the Glock headquarters in Smyrna—the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office consists of about 725 sworn personnel. Located 30 miles of northeast Atlanta, Gwinnett County proper has an estimated population of 920,260 as of 2017. It covers 430 square miles.
“We are honored and privileged to be approved by Gwinnett County for individual Officers to purchase. Gwinnett County joins a growing list of law enforcement departments that have approved Honor Defense. The approved weapons are the same models available to consumers as well,” Honor Defense President Gary Ramey said in a press release.
