A single police officer – armed with only a pistol – took on and defeated two terrorists covered in body armor and carrying rifles in Garland, TX.

The officer’s name has not been released, nor should it be – ever – unless he wants it to be so, but the make and caliber of his firearm have been made public.

The hero, an off-duty police officer, was in a vehicle with an unarmed security guard when the terrorists approached. As the officer, the security guard and the two terrorists exited their vehicles – all hell broke loose.

The terrorists were armed with semi-auto rifles (type not yet released, but bet they’ll be AR-15’s by the time the government is through with this story) and several other uncharacterized firearms. The police officer responsible for saving so many innocent lives was armed with a single pistol.

As the altercation continued, the terrorists fired several shots towards the officers. The unarmed security guard was grazed near the ankle. The off-duty officer returned fire and killed both of the better-armed and better-armored muslim terrorists.

Now that we are certain that every single American is safe and sound thanks to the heroic actions of a skilled and well-armed individual, everyone wants to know what did that officer have in his holster?

The make and model are less significant than the caliber. Anyone that bets his or her life on a sidearm maintains it – impeccably. What is more important is the cartridge shot out of that pistol that killed two body-armor wearing terrorists.

The answer is, as many military vets could tell you was – the venerable .45acp. The officer’s pistol was made by Glock, but the cartridge was invented more than 100 years ago by J. Browning.

.45acp is  still putting down evil more than a century later and many that put their life on the line and carry firearms wouldn’t carry anything else.
