U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)- Born in a barn? No. A bar? Yes. When it comes to my beloved Marine Corps there is no finer, perhaps no more appropriate truth than the birthplace America’s finest fighting force in Tun Tavern on 10 November 1775. In just a few more days, my blood brothers will pay homage to those who have donned the uniform before us… often with bellies full of beer, a slice of stale cake and maybe a fight or two, as brothers sometimes do.
My eight years in the Corps were some of my best and worst; however, my regrets are none and memories still brimming; some even continue to wreak of stale beer and the always recognizable scent of sweat and whiskey pouring from the Devil Dog in front of me on a 05:30 PT run.
