Trump Welcomes “Well-Informed Debate on Public Safety” but Not Gun Control

Washington , DC – -(Ammoland.com)- American firearm owners can commend the Trump White House for its talking points on the Las Vegas shooting reportedly urging Republicans to reject new gun control laws.
The White House paper, as reported Tuesday by the Washington Examiner, is most needed and most welcome.
After news broke about the murder in Nevada of scores of victims and the wounding of hundreds of others, many of the usual suspects in the media and politics, generally Democrats went off half-cocked in demanding the imposition of more gun controls on our law-abiding citizens.
The anti-gun nut cakes in the media and politics have to be straightened out, and the issuance of the talking points is a step in the right direction.
The document notes President Donald Trump welcomes “a reasoned and well-informed debate on public safety,” but maintains the Second Amendment “is a key constitutional right that is meant to protect people’s freedoms.”
