Scientist Capture First-Ever Footage Of Great White Shark Napping

In honor of Shark Week, here’s a pretty amazing video.

Amazing because this is something that has never been seen before. Thanks to a robotic submersible, scientists were able to capture the first-ever footage of a great white shark napping.

Sharks must keep moving at all times. If they don’t they’ll sink to the bottom of the ocean and suffocate. This footage shows how these massive predators are able to rest in order to conserve energy to hunt during the day.
