Where to Shoot?

Regardless of how many guns you own, getting to the range for some trigger time is on everyone’s mind after buying a new gun. And there’s good reason for that: Shooting is fun! Regular practice with firearms also helps develop safe and proper technique.

However, finding access to shooting ranges can be a challenging task, especially for newer shooters in urban areas. Luckily, the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) is here to help with a searchable directory of places to shoot. Available online and downloadable as a smartphone app, the NSSF’s wheretoshoot.org directory locates shooting ranges based on your state, zip code or specific shooting activities. This resource also helps connect shooters of all ages with nearby safety courses, events and retailers.

If you’re considering purchasing a firearm but don’t know where to shoot, enter your zip code into wheretoshoot.org, and before you know it, you’ll be punching the bullseye with your favorite new firearm.
