MINNETONKA, MN (Ammoland.Com) — What does it take to self-film while in a treestand or ground blind? In this week’s episode of Winchester Deadly Passion, Melissa Bachman shares her best tips from years of self-filming her own hunts. Bachman shows how to get the shot off, but also capture great footage. As she says, it’s not an either/or situation. “Self-filming truly is an art as it is absolutely difficult when you are the hunter and cameraman combined – it changes everything about how you approach the hunt and during the hunt itself,” admitted Bachman. She gives plenty of tips and strategies on self-filming from using a solid camera arm set-up – if in a treestand – to utilizing decoys to bring bucks closer. “Plus, I also keep a second, smaller, camera on me to catch my reactions. Lately I’ve been using the Garmin VIRB on my bow, which is also connected to my heart rate.
