Winchester Ammunition will expand its Super Clean line of ammunition in 2017 with the venerable .45 ACP, the company announced Wednesday.
The .45 will join the 9mm Luger and .40 S&W, giving recreational pistol shooters more options on the range. The .45 ACP boasts 160 grains with zinc-core brass-jacketed bullets. Completely lead-free, the ammunition is designed for maximum indoor range performance and safety.
“Winchester is committed to delivering more value-priced lead-free centerfire product options that are ideal for use on indoor ranges as the number of shooters visiting these ranges grows around the country, “ Matt Campbell, Winchester Ammunition vice president of marketing and sales, said in a press release. “As one of the most popular rounds among handgun shooters, this latest .45 ACP ammunition is a testament to that commitment.”
The new ammunition comes 50 rounds to one box. While no price or shipping date has been announced on the .45 ACP, shooters can enjoy the Super Clean in .40 S&W and 9mm for under $20 per box.
