obama sends email to celebrites asking to promote gun control

The Obama administration wanted to make sure that anti-gun celebrities knew exactly what to tweet out to their millions of followers.

So after President Obama’s gun control announcement on January 5th the White House sent out an email to celebrities giving them the exact tweets they should send to the masses.

According to Fox News, the email said, “Below you have: short and long-term action steps, more info on POTUS’s actions, highlights from YOUR Tweets thus far (thank you!), and draft Tweets for you to build from if helpful.”

The memo also encouraged the celebs to use the hashtag “#StopGunViolence” and said to ““make sure everyone… knows you have the President’s back.”

The email was sent by the White House Office of Public Engagement.
