Socialism doesn’t look so good when you’re shopping. I was struck by the hopelessness in the eyes of the store patrons.

Many of us own guns to protect ourselves, and our loved ones, from violent acts. Yet how many of us have the ability to survive for more than a few days on the food in our pantries?

In Nazi Germany, Himmler and Backe spearheaded the Hunger Plan: an economic scheme created to ensure that Germans were given priority of food supplies at the expense of non-German inhabitants and the inhabitants of German-occupied Soviet territories.
