Lansing, MI -(AmmoLand.com)- Winners of the Consumers Energy-sponsored Wetland Wonders Challenge, hosted by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Michigan United Conservation Clubs, recently were awarded their prize packages at the Shiawassee River State Game Area in St. Charles, Michigan.

To be entered in the drawing, participants had to hunt at three or more of the seven southern Michigan Wetland Wonders. The seven winners of the 2015 Wetland Wonders Challenge are Gene Tornow of Center Line, Thomas Eickhoff of Genesee Township, Martin Gunther and Michael Leach of Bay City, Gary Laleman of Akron, Jacob Wilson of Howell, and Todd Kagerer of Davison.

“I thought it was a scam when I was contacted. I was very surprised,” said Gunther. “I’ve only been hunting waterfowl for two years, so the new gear will be very helpful.”

The seven winners each were awarded ultimate waterfowl prize packages worth approximately $1,500. These packages included a Winchester XSP camouflage 12-gauge shotgun, custom Zink duck and goose calls, premium Avian X duck and goose decoys, a field bag, other waterfowl hunting accessories and a “golden ticket” good for one nonreserved, first-choice pick …Read the Rest
