WATCH: Thug Tells Security Guard That His Gun Is Fake, Security Guard Responds With “Mine’s Real!”

GARDENIA, CA — They say don’t bring a knife to a gunfight. Well, I think that might just doubly apply to fake guns.

Don’t bring fake guns to a gun fight.

Robbers might not realize what they’re doing when attempting a robbery is inviting a potential gunfight, but that’s exactly what they’re doing.

They’re asking for people around them to react to their threat as though it’s in earnest — and even worse for them, they’re asking for a fight that they being unarmed have just zero chance of winning.

It’s idiotic, as a couple of thugs learned in the video below.

In the video, the would-be robbers, looking sketchy as can be, ask for a pack of cigarettes, and then clunkily climb over the counter and start to subdue the clerk and take some money.

Enter, security guard who gives zero cares.

He walks in, almost casually shooting the two thugs, way closer to the clerk than I’d ever dare try.

The thugs spilled the secret to save their lives — they scream that the gun is fake.

The security guard’s reaction?

“Mine’s real.” No, kidding.
