We got our first look at the all-new Remington Model 700 Chassis Pistol in October at the 2018 Athlon Outdoors Rendezvous in Montana.

What Is the Remington Model 700 Chassis Pistol?

As Tactical-Life contributor Robert Jordan wrote in his review, “It is a true bolt action, but with a pistol grip and a short barrel.”

The barrel comes in two different lengths, depending upon which of the three calibers it is chambered for. The .308 model has a 12.5-inch barrel. Meanwhile, the .223 and .300 AAC Blackout version have a 10.5-inch barrel.

Remington Model 700 Chassis Pistol Testing

We tested the .308 model at the Athlon Outdoors Rendezvous. Barrels on all of the 700CPs are threaded. Our test model featured an AAC TI-RAID 30 suppressor.
