It only took hours for anti-gun policy makers to jump on the political bandwagon after last nights’ horrific shooting in Las Vegas that killed nearly 60 people and injured at least 529.

Early Monday morning, Hillary Clinton tweeted:

The crowd fled at the sound of gunshots.

Imagine the deaths if the shooter had a silencer, which the NRA wants to make easier to get.

Then she doubled down with this tweet:

Our grief isn’t enough. We can and must put politics aside, stand up to the NRA, and work together to try to stop this from happening again.

Senator Ed Markey, (D-Mass) followed shortly after with a tweet that read:

And once and for all, we need to make NRA stand for “Not Relevant Anymore” in American politics.

Rep. Katherine Clark (D-Mass.) added to twitter-fray with:
