Longtime hunter education instructor Warren Meyer, of Cheboygan, has volunteered his time and experience for more than 60 years, helping to keep Michigan hunters safe in the woods. At the Dec. 11 meeting of the Natural Resources Commission, Meyer (center) was recognized for his efforts, being named the 2014 Hunter Education Volunteer Instructor of the Year.
