Virginia Social Worker Reportedly Fired Because She Has Concealed Carry Permit

A Virginia social worker spent her weekend searching for answers after she was fired last week. According to the worker, Storm Durham, the sin she committed had nothing to do with her work, her attitude, or her interactions with others. No, she claims the problem was simply that she has a concealed carry permit.

As a result, Storm Durham became an overnight icon of the gun rights movement.

A Facebook post is causing a stir, where a Virginia social worker was apparently fired for having a concealed carry permit. Storm Durham posted on Facebook yesterday describing how three Roanoke police officers escorted her out of the office upon termination. She said some of the officers had accompanied her on child services visits. Durham was also not allowed to use the bathroom on her way out due to safety concerns. On Twitter, Durham said that she’s seeking lawyers to fight this.
