On Wednesday, August 31, the Department of General Services is scheduled to hold a public hearing on Governor Terry McAuliffe’s executive order to permanently ban the concealed carry of firearms in executive branch offices. The hearing will be held at the below location:

Wednesday, August 31, at 10am
Pocahontas Building Auditorium
900 E. Main Street
Richmond, Virginia

If approved, law-abiding concealed carry permit holders would no longer be able to carry a firearm and exercise their right to self-defense in state agency offices.

It is important that members and Second Amendment supporters attend this hearing and voice their opposition to this gun ban. The hearing is open to anyone who wishes to speak. Speakers are limited to two minute comments and must sign in at the hearing. Sign-in begins at 9am. If you are unable to attend and would like to submit written comments, you can do so by clicking here.
