Facebook user Kenny MacDonald shared a video reportedly taken during Wednesday’s nationwide school walkouts to bring attention to gun violence that has gone viral. The video has had more than 2 million views.

MacDonald, whose Facebook page says that he is a student at New Prague High School in New Prague, Minnesota, documented what appeared to be an encounter between a school official and a student who was holding a sign defending guns during the protest.

What are the details?

MacDonald, in his post, explained that he was part of the school’s Wednesday walkout protest to honor those who lost their lives in February’s mass killing at a high school in Parkland, Florida.

He explained that some students (not pictured) held signs during the protest that stated, “Arm our teachers,” and one sign — which was only partially shown — said, “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.”

According to MacDonald’s account of the incident, a man he identified as the principal escorted the student who was holding the gun-defending sign off of school property.
