Let’s take a moment to talk about public gun ranges.

Not everyone utilizes a public gun range, and they’re not readily available everywhere, either — but even for those who have access to public ranges very often opt for private clubs or either shoot on property or go searching for a gun-friendly colleague with a bit of land where it’s safe and legal to do so.

Why is that?

Well, in my experience, there are a couple of reasons for that, one of which is the freedom you have on a friend’s stretch of land out in the boonies, but another is the horrendous repair in which I so often find at public ranges.

I don’t think I’ve ever been at a public range when it hadn’t been strewn with litter, bullet holes in pretty much anything, etc. You get the picture — people don’t do a great job of cleaning up behind themselves.
