Learning how to correctly sling your carbine is an essential step toward smooth transitions and maximizing your real-world accuracy. Special operations veteran Pat McNamara breaks down the essentials of what you need to know to keep your carbine in optimal position no matter the circumstances surrounding you. In the video, McNamara describes how to best use a two-point sling, with the sling itself set on its longest length for maximum versatility. With the sling just around his neck, McNamara illustrates how an operator is afforded more room to work with in terms of magazine changes. Then, moving the sling to a cross-body position, McNamara exhibits how the sling can then be used to add stability to one’s shooting position and instantly transition to a vertical carry position along their back for ease of movement.
