Kristen Lindsey is a vet that is in some hot water.
Kristen shot and killed, what she thought was, a feral cat that was in her backyard with a bow an arrow.

She posted the photo online:

“My first bow kill… lol. The only good feral tomcat is one with an arrow through it’s (sic) head. Vet of the year award… gladly accepted.”

However, it turned out that the cat wasn’t actually feral, and it was her neighbors cat, named Tiger.cat-3

Lindsey immediately had her veterinary license revoked and was fired from the Brenham Animal Clinic where she worked.

She argued to the Texas Board of Veterinary Examiners that she thought the cat was feral and that this, coupled with financial hardship, was reasone nough for her license being renewed.

She allegedly received rape and death threats after news of her killing of the cat surfaced online.

Lindsey’s lawyer, Brian Bishop, argued that the killing of feral animals is common practice in Kristen’s community, and blamed the “social media age” for Kristen being demonized and brutally harrased.

Her 1-year veterinary suspension is followed by another four years probation, a punishment that’s frowned upon by animal rights groups.
