The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms has temporarily backed off of their attempt to ban M855 ammo, a popular type of 5.56 ammo. The desire to ban this and other types of ammo has not gone away, and the current ATF Director, B. Todd Jones, made that very clear this past week while testifying in front of a senate committee.
