University of Houston Campus PD Chooses Battle Rifle Company

Houston, TX –-(Ammoland.com)- Battle Rifle Company has been selected as the service provider for the rifle needs of the University of Houston Main Campus Police Department. This month the university received their first ten BR4 Spartan rifles for use by officers on patrol throughout the campus system.

The BR4 Spartan rifles are upgraded and equipped with flip-up rear sights, AIMPOINT PRO red dot sights with co-witness mounts, Streamlight weapons lights and single point slings. The Spartan rifles are Battle Rifle Company’s upgraded version of the military M4 carbine. The rifles are semi-auto and have upgraded trigger sets from ALG for long-lasting, reliable operation.

Established in 1927, the University of Houston is located in a sprawling metropolis and is a premier Tier One campus. Ranked among the best colleges in America, the facilities are like a small city of over 45,000 students and faculty. The University has actively had a police force for some time and has expanded the role over the years, reaching out into several communities throughout Southeast Texas. With over 70 sworn officers just in the Houston area, it’s a very busy department.
