U.S. Marshals Museum to Host “Oklahoma City Bombing: The Aftermath” Lecture
Third Installment of Museum’s WANTED Lecture Series
Fort Smith, AR -(AmmoLand.com)- The U.S. Marshals Museum will host “Oklahoma City Bombing: The Aftermath,” the third installment of its WANTED lecture series on Monday, May 2 at the Fort Smith Convention Center.
The lecture will feature Retired Deputy U.S. Marshal James D. Murphy II who recently retired from a nearly 30-year career with the U.S. Marshals Service.
“Our WANTED lecture series has received an overwhelming response,” said Leslie Higgins, director of education for the U.S. Marshals Museum. “There’s still two more chances to catch one of these engaging lectures and learn about the U.S. Marshals Service’s most thrilling cases.”
Murphy will discuss the U.S. Marshals Service’s response to the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995, including the quick action it took during the 72 hours immediately following the bombing, and the ensuing federal court proceedings of Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols. He will also bring items related to the bombing for attendees to view.
“Oklahoma City Bombing: The Aftermath” will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 2 in the North Rotunda of the Fort Smith Convention Center. Tickets can be purchased at http://usmm.co/2016usmmlecture …Read the Rest
