If there was any intellectual consistency in the liberal Austin, Texas media, they’d be running the headline above for the casualties that resulted from a quarrel that occurred just off campus.

A man was stabbed Monday afternoon near the southwest corner of the University of Texas campus.

Police were called to the intersection of Whitis Avenue and W. 21st Street at 1:03 p.m. A husband was driving his wife, seated in the front passenger seat, when a male friend in the backseat stabbed the driver in the neck. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Another man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. It’s not clear if he was also stabbed. The suspect in the backseat, a friend of the couple, is not in custody.

The three are not UT students and only pulled over in the area to continue an argument they were having. Austin police say there is no threat to the community.

There’s “no threat to the community,” even though there is a violent 290-lb thug on the loose who just stabbed a man on the edge of campus.
