INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA — On the evening of the 11th, a man drove up to a gas station in a stolen vehicle, and then proceeded to walk inside and rob the place at gunpoint. It was a bad decision on his part, as he picked a location with at least two armed people already inside.

Police received a call around 6:30 p.m. about an armed man attempting to rob the convenience store, located near the intersection of Pendleton Pike and Shadeland Ave. Police say the man arrived at the GetGo in a stolen vehicle. When the man pulled out a gun, police believe two armed customers fired multiple shots at the suspect.

The armed robber was pronounced dead when he arrived at the hospital.

No other details were immediately available, but this looks to be a pretty clear-cut example of a self-defense shooting. We do not know if the two armed customers knew each other, but they seemed to have acted together in a way that made sure no one else was injured.

Considered a relatively safe place, customers and residents chimed in on the incident.
