Montgomery, AL -(AmmoLand.com)- Several Alabama Black Belt lodges are members of the Alabama Quail Trail, a “collection of individuals, private business and conservation organizations that are passionate about quail and quail hunting,” the Trail’s website says.

The purpose of the statewide group is quail hunting, research and conservation. These three lodges – Oak Ridge Hunting Lodge in Louisville, Wilkes Creek Plantation in West Greene and Wylierosa Fish & Feather Club in Hardaway – also offer deer and hog hunts, the website says. Check them out.

Contact Oak Ridge in Barbour County at 334-301-8021, Wilkes Creek in Greene County at 205-792-8100 and Wylierosa in Macon County at 334-485-3550.

Quail season for 2015-16 is Nov. 7 through Feb. 29.
