Traveling Woman Fatally Shoots Hotel Break-In Thief

Imagine traveling through a place, and having someone break into your hotel room. You had better be carrying or risk not have a happy ending like this does.

A man was shot to death early today at a Homewood hotel.

The shooting happened about 3:40 a.m. at America’s Best Inn and Suites on Summit Parkway, confirmed police spokesman Sgt. Andrew Didcoct. A woman was inside her room, possibly with the door propped open, when a man came in and robbed her at gunpoint.
