The testing officer from Oregon thought the shoulder straps and back were well-padded in the areas where pressure from the weight of the pack could be felt. As for durability, he put the pack through a test where he “weighed the pack down with about 50 pounds, cinched the straps down tight and tried to get the bag to fail or fall apart.
