This Is How Much Those CMP Surplus 1911 Pistols Will Cost
The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) just published an update regarding the surplus 1911 pistols it plans on selling under the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

Quantity
First, the CMP confirmed that, while the NDAA allowed a maximum of 10,000 1911s to be transferred to the CMP annually, the Secretary of the Army only gave them 8,000 pistols. Some of those pistols will be auctioned. The rest will be sold through a random number generator. The CMP says it doesn’t know how many pistols it’ll receive next year.
Ordering
The 1911 order form packet for will appear on its website starting on June 4. Only one order form packet per customer may be submitted. In addition, the order form packet must be postmarked between September 4 and October 4. Anything received postmarked prior to September 4 won’t …Read the Rest
