We’ve been following The Trace, a new propaganda tool sponsored by Michael Bloomberg and his gun control campaigns that claims to not take a side in the gun control debate and instead presents facts in an impartial and journalistic kind of way. Their first article didn’t inspire much confidence in that it proved the authors failed high school statistics. Their latest post might possibly be even worse.

 

As they point out in their article “Gunfight or Flee: New Study Finds No Advantages to Using a Firearm in Self-Defense Situations,” most Americans believe that a gun makes them safer. This is a problem, since the constant cries from gun control activists that guns need to be banned and are evil only work if the general public feels the same way. If the public believes guns are evil then gun control activists are the good guys. But when the public believe that guns make us safer, like they do right now, then gun control activists are the bad guys and are trying to take away their ability to protect themselves.
