A few weeks back I reviewed my go-to gun – a Sig Sauer P226 TACOPS – and asked our audience to share their go-to gun. We got a lot of responses but one that rose above the rest was the Sig P229. This gun from Sig has many variations but today we’re taking a look at the Enhanced Elite model from the Guns.com Vault.
I’m a fan of all-metal guns and, for this reason, I really enjoyed the Enhanced Elite Sig P226 TACOPS with its anodized aluminum frame and stainless-steel slide with Sig Nitride coating. The gun has a better grip and feels more substantial in the hand. The one-piece E2 grip from Sig is really great. It’s like sandpaper and it sticks to my hand, ensuring a firm purchase on the gun.

The DA/SA trigger is another bonus for those looking to carry. According to Sig Sauer, the trigger has a 10-pound trigger pull in double-action with a 4-pound trigger pull in single-action. The trigger on this particular model is also the SRT or Short Reset Trigger. I found the short reset to be a huge advantage for follow-up
