Hinckley wants to work at starbucks or subway and might be released

For years the media has not been allowed access to John Hinckley Jr, the man who shot Ronald Reagan, but this week documents have been released that give us some insight into Hinckley’s desire to be a good citizen.

The documents revealed that Hinckley made some feeble attempts to gain employment at Starbucks and Subway. I can almost understand why he would want to work at Starbucks, after all, this is the company that told gun owners to leave their guns at home, and certainly the man who almost assassinated a US president would not want to worry about firearms being in his presence.

He also made regular shopping visits to Target, Best Buy and J.C. Penney while accompanied by therapists.

In his attempt to become “more human” Hinckley expressed how he enjoyed being able to get out of the hospital and his fondness for music from Elvis and Paul McCartney to Nirvana.

The more than 100 pages of documents released also revealed Hinckley’s failure to be welcomed for volunteer positions because of his name, a name which he made for himself by the way.
